I still have no job.
All my stuff is in store in Portsmouth.
The house sale is slowly going through.
I no longer consider myself a resident of Gosport.

Some of these are positives (yay!) but the big negative is still there: I still have no job.  Some would argue that I am being too fussy, but I still have no concept of most of my abilities.  That and I see a job I like and there is the inevitable caveat "Full Driving Licence Required".  Yes, I could try and take my driving test again, but I know I will only fail it again.  My nerves will get the better of me.  Why keep throwing money at it?  I'd like something majorly good to happen - all the good stuff feels minor or all part of the plan.  But that would require luck.  And luck is not something I have...  And if I hear anybody say "You make your own luck" I reply "Nobody gave me the recipe!"

How do you know you will fail? Perhaps passing your test is the bit f luck you are waiting for. If you don't try it will not happen. Don't give up...

You're already a different person. Use that difference to distance yourself from the weak-willed, insecure self you left behind. You have an excellent opportunity here to make your life considerably better. Don't waste it.
One bit of advice. Stop thinking. Just do. A single focus will help you stay on course.

Try a bit of brain reprogramming. Before sleep, think of three things. First, "What did I learn today?" You really do learn something new every day, even if it's that hexadecimal is damn-fool way to count things, and be glad that only computers have to do it. Second, "What kindness happened today?" Maybe you did something nice for someone, or someone did something nice for you. Again, it happens every day—you need only find it, remember it, and be happy that it happened.

Third and finally, "What do I want solved?" Take the idea of finding a job. No specifics—just take a very quick review of how it makes you feel (no more than about 10 seconds), then take a deep breath and think, "I'd like an answer for this, please, and thank you." Then turn your mind to some sweet thoughts that will relax you and help you to sleep. Answers will begin showing up, although they may not be in the form you're expecting; learn to be open to anything that might come your way.

So okay, I'm a mystic. Get over it. ~_^ It's my version of the long-distance hug, dear bear. Just remember: Something new, something nice, something solved. It really does help.

When You Pursue the goals you need and want in life, the faster they will come. In this case if the fire gets on your ass, it will always make you work harder. It sucks, but in tough financial situations, we always will try harder.
