I was wearing Russ's old Lone Star tee (intentionally and with fond remembrance as always) last weekend. As there were a lot of friends and friends of froends back at the cottage there was music and (bad) dancing into the early hours. I sweated.
So the shirt needed a wash.
The washing machine has broken down.
So we use a laundry collection service.
But anything precious I wash by hand.
So, Tuesday morning I was stood at the sink, with the stable door open onto the ivy, Kate Bush playing softly, washing Russ's t-shirt and thinking about him while I did.
I so wish he could have been down here.
