......feel sorry for the Turkey. They're horrible, primitive, and foul creatures who are so pathetically (if not pathologically) stupid that (and yes, this is a verifiable fact) can drown in the rain. Apart from seagulls (who don't make particularlly good eating), I can't think of a more deserving bird to eat (at any time of the year).
