The other day, the new boss (Mandy) caught me on the hop.  She made a comment along the lines of hoping I would bring a little sophistication to the office because I sounded posh.

"Posh???"  I looked up with horror and my voice went up at least two octaves.  "Posh???!!!"

I'm not really that cut glass am I???

Hmm, knowing the local accent ("brummie") it's more likely to be gaaay...! But then, I was born in Staffordshire which might sound posh to a Brummie...!

Just remember not to confuse "Brummie" with "Black Country" - the locals tend to object!!
