Here Comes The Rain Again...

Had an e-mail from Capital One this morning.  Apparently I failed both the work experience test and the psychometric test; all applications I have made with them will be rejected and I can't apply to them again for 6 months.  I rang them up about this and when they advised me about applying again in 6 months, I practically thundered "What's the point of applying again in 6 months?  At this rate I will still be unemployed and I won't have changed my personality!"

So right now, I'm feeling a bit bleak.  It doesn't look like I have a hope in hell of getting a job at a decent wage.  Looks like sleeping under Waterloo Bridge for me...

If it's the same Capitol One that sells credit cards over here, you might be better off. I've never heard anything good about them, especially if a customer is having problems with payments. Although they have some halfway-interesting commercials involving Vikings.

Psychometric test? What for--to access how you'd fare in a dehumanizing cube farm? What kind of fucked-up hiring process is that?
