Close to Home...

Was in London for most of the weekend with Russ; we took a walk along the South Bank and we passed the memorial to David Morley, the bear killed in a homophobic attack last weekend . A lot of the time, we were walking blazenly hand-in-hand. It was, to my mind, the best gesture of defiance to the bastards.
We also went to see a play in Greenwich, which I had seen a couple of weeks before. Stood in the bar after the show, the actors troop in for post show drinks and schmoozing. Trust Russ to look at one of the actors (admittedly one of the cute, furry ones) and utter the line "You know, I'm sure I've had my tongue up his ar*e...!"
And then there was Karaoke at the King's Arms last night. They announced that the vigil in memory of David Morley had raised well in excess of £3000 for charity. And a certain hairy individual (whose name is not Russ) was persuaded to get up and sing "Mamma Mia". Complete with appalling swedish accent...
