Dirty Old Town...

hantsbearWent to see "The Mousetrap" last night, supposedly the longest running stage production in the world. I'm glad I went; I enjoyed it, even though I had a vague suspicion somebody had told me who did it some years ago. However that did not detract from the enjoyment.
Met up with a slightly inebriated Mo at the Kings Arms. It doesn't take that much beer to make him tiddly being but a frail little thing, and I think he'd been there since 4 o'clock; it was about 8 by the time I got there...
Stayed in a hotel in the East End of London. The East End has changed enormously since my abortive attempt at a college diploma 19 years ago - when I lived there for a year, it comprised of lots of dingy rail yards; decaying docks and social housing by the acre. Now, thanks to the Docklands becoming London's second financial district, a lot of regeneration has taken place with lots of obscenely priced apartments being thrown up all over.
It's still grotty, though.
