Well, it was a fitting end to David Tennant's tenure as the Doctor.  Moved to pieces by his cry of "I don't want to die!" just before the regeneration took place.  Before the regeneration took place, it was if he was completing a "bucket list".  There's only one way to go now but forwards and having seen the 2010 series trailer, I am looking forward to Matt Smith.

I really liked David Tennant and it's going to be sad to see him go. I am a fan of the show and watch it all the time and when I was a kid, but I'm not one of those super fans so I don't keep track of who's who and I don't know much about the new Doctor. I only hope I like him and he makes the show as fun as Mr. Tennant did.

I loved most of the episode... the Doctor/Master scences were brilliant, loved the way the Master came to his "senses" and took his fury out on the Time lords.

I'm afraid I agree with David Tennant - I didn't want him to go... he was everything I've come to expect from the Doctor - just got a little tired of the constant love theme at times. As for Mr Smith? I didn't like his cameo at all... I just pray I'm in for a good surprise.

Overall I felt it is was much better than last year's kitchen sink finale. Left some threads out there for the future, which I appreciate. I would have to say my fave touch in Tennant's finale was coming back to the old plot line with the ancestor at the book signing. It's a nice way to touch ground with the beginning of the Moffat regime, since he wrote that episode. :)

liked it but the ending was OVER drawn out and Donna situation wasn't sorted totally...but very sad in the end.

I think the mystery woman was Susan.

Tennant wasn't my favorite. I'm already forseeing a Peter Davidson kind of doctor in Matt Smith...

Hated this a bit less than other finales, poss because Russell seems to have decided that it's better to have no plot at all, than a derisory one to excuse all the character stuff - and I agree. If you're not going to bother anyway, then don't even try to tell a story. Just give us the emotional beats in the right sequence blah de blah blah.

The theme of regeneration as "little death" was nice; that last line was a bridge too far, though.

"Petits morts" is French slang for orgasm. Useless fact of the day.

Yes, the finale was a bit drawn out, but it was very good.
I didn't start to like Tennant until halfway through his first season. It wasn't until I saw " The Girl In The Fireplace" that I really warmed up to him. ( Pun intended)

I, too, am very sorry to see him go. He was one of the best, tied
for first place in my mind with Tom Baker.

I have high hopes for Matt Smith.. he has the unenviable task of
following David Tennant.

Goodbye, David...and best of luck to you, Matt.
