Shivering With An..tici.............pation!

So, for the second time in a month, a Rocky Horror outing - this time to a live performance of the current tour at Southampton. The Tucson experience was pretty wild though; Robearal professing virginity and having his cherry well and truly popped, and my first experience of a full on secondary cast beneath the screen. In my day, we provided our own entertainment...! Oh, and people selling Rocky Horror survival kits outside was pretty cool too.

Unfortunately, the current UK tour does not allow such things as water pistols, toast and rice into the theatre. I know, I've seen the signs plastered all over the Mayflower. Of course, one of the advantages of having fumbled with the Costume Master (as Russ is officially titled) is one gets back stage. Met Russ for lunch on Tuesday, went back up to his spaceous wardrobe ("it's even got a sofa - I've never had a sofa before!") for coffee, and then a mad rush around Southampton searching for a couple of pairs of exceptionally short satin black boxer shorts for a couple of understudies. I managed to scrounge a pair of fishnet stockings and a lab coat from the spare costume box for Saturday afternoon (5pm - that's no time for a Rocky!!!) Stilettos are, I think, a bit of a no-no for me so it looks like it'll be the army boots...!

And so on to next week and Oregon on Thursday... oh my!
