Maybe that "hairy legged Highlander" (the Second Doctor's comment from "The Two Doctors") Jamie McCrimmon, played by Frazer Hines, could bridge the Emmerdale/Whoniverse gap...? (granted Hines left the show in like '94, but was on it from '72...)
