Heaving On A Jet Plane...

So, here am I firmly ensconsed in Terminal 2 at Heathrow, all checked in and ready to go. Okay, so the ears are a little muzzy, but otherwise ok. Even had a reasonable night's sleep at the hotel. Although, I couldn't get a window seat on the leg from Frankfurt to Portland, despite booking months ago (grrrr....!!!!) I have standby upgrade voucher which I am going to use all my charms with when I get to Frankfurt, so we shall see... Oh well, here we go...!

YAY!!!

I got the upgrade to Business Class... I gave the coupon to the desk agent at Frankfurt, thinking that the flight was full - no chance. He taps away at his keyboard; passes me a new boarding card, and my jaw drops to the floor. I walked into the gate area with a very silly grin on my face.

So, I got - a chair that you need an engineering degree to use; a tablecloth when my meal was served, real crockery and cutlery, and a goody bag.

Boy, was I insufferable when Douglas met me! ;-{)}
