First Morning In Tipton...

Quiet.  There's nobody here but me, Dusty Springfield and a whole load of toy koalas.  The move went smoothly sans catastrophe and lots of willing helping hands.  Many, many thanks to Matt (husband of [livejournal.com profile] madamemish ) for driving and not being too phased at the whole host of luggage that ended up in the Transit van.  Surprised myself by getting a whole load of stuff unpacked quite quickly, so there's really not that much more to do, it seems.

I think today may well be a day for exploring the neighborhood.

Congratulations on your uneventful move. Do you have any idea how rare such a thing is?

You'll find lots of horses in Tipton - mostly grazing on the roundabouts. The Pie Factory's good too (if it's still open) but be wary of mentioning the SK in any of the pubs as us local Lisle's/Skippons spent a long night trashing quite a few of them on one of those Black Country beer-bus pub crawls a few years back. Ahem. Better not mention food fights either ...

I found that the Mad O'Roukes have 2 pie factories in the area - one in Tipton (which I must visit at some point - Pie is baked, pie is eaten, pie will come again...) and one over towards Stourbridge...
