If you're not happy, and it's making you ill, fuck what anyone else says.
I stayed over a year too long in a nasty job and it made me ill; never again. My health and sanity are more important.
Also if people really care they will see that a change is better for you, and earlier is better than later. I never understood this 'are you sure' and 'ooh you're being too rash' nonsense - as long as you know the risks, things usually don't go far wrong.
I always wonder if that 'common sense'/risk-averse approach comes from a sort of jealousy or secret desire to do the same? It's very odd; since things do usually indeed come out in the wash - and change is not only important but needed sometimes. Or the idea if you delay it then the desire to do it will go away - actually it doesn't, you just have regrets that you didn't do it.
