Start by unpacking one box, putting your keepsakes/useful items where you want them.
Open the second box, sort to keep/dispose. Put the dispose in the first box.
Repeat.
Throw out the first box(es)

There's a good reason some of this stuff went to storage, the rest you haven't really missed, y'know.
